Review:
Oh cool, it's a long time since I last reviewed a full-on Power Metal release, and Adamantis' debut full-length is exactly that. Featuring 11 tracks in almost an hour of playing time Far Flung Realm reveals a fantasy World of demons, dragons and chivalry, an epic tale that pretty much make of this album a concept story just fit for such genre. Mixing the European and American Power Metal, with touches of Epic Doom Metal, Adamantis have crafted here a very solid album that impresses through its rich harmonies, complex song structures, powerful production, and technical performance, a band that seems capable of picking up and melting the best of '90's and early '00's Power Metal from around the World and even throw in some delicious sprinkles of Epic Doom and Heavy Metal to make it all even sweeter. The vocals are as well very good, not only leading but even enhancing the whole atmosphere, and together with the background male choirs that appear here and there (and even some riffing though) they remind me of the Manowar manly/macho approach. Very, very good debut album, do not oversee it if you're into Power Metal!
