Review:
The Swiss band was formed back in the '90's but during the first years of the '00's it took a serious break and got back in action only in 2008. Still, to say this is their debut album seems unbelievable but it's the truth. The 14 tracks effort is a very interesting combination of sounds and genres, from my point of view I'd say it's a fusion between Nu-Metal (Korn is their main influence on vocals and not only, some song structures are also heavily Korn influenced), Progressive Metal, Post Metal and even Extreme Metal, a very wide pallette of genres combined together to offer an interesting journey through the band's world, open to both Rock and Metal followers, and actually they have this in one of their lyrics: "please free, switch on your mind", of course referring to something else, but it can be referred to their music offering, too. I've spined it a couple of times and the defining word for their work would be "interesting", interesting because it presents a combination I haven't heard before and although Nu-Metal isn't really my thing, presented in this matter, combined with so many influences and in such a varied way, I found it both catchy and challenging. As a note: not sure if only in my copy's case, but some tracks end abruptly, before the composition actually ends, like they were cut too soon...
