Review:
It's cool to see such a bond between a band and a label in the underground; Josh Young and his Astral Winter project are on Immortal Frost since the beginning, releasing a first demo in 2009 and following up with four full-length albums, this one we're going to talk about here being the fourth opus. It seems like Perdition II is linked with the 2013 Perdition album, and the link between the two is that they are both acoustic materials made on only keys, percussion and acoustic guitars, with occasional violins and clean vocals appearing here and there, so we're dealing again with a romantic, majestic, meditative piece of music. Anyway, if you're into Melodic Black Metal I think you'll appreciate this album, it's like an acoustic intermezzo for almost 40 minutes of playing time, revealing an enchanted soundscape, like a green forest filled with life, but coupled with the cover art it may also take you to the highest of mountains. Beautiful music if you're in the right mood.
