Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Auroch was founded in 2008 in Vancouver and started off playing old-school styled thrash/heavy metal in the vein of King Diamond or Grave Digger, but quickly evolved through touring, writing etc into the vessel of savage death metal it has become.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Entirely remorseless and adverse extreme metal, as influenced by the greats of the past as we are by the modern masters. As influenced by the bestiality of Archgoat as we are by the brutality of Spawn of Possession.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
If one is looking for death metal intended to, in unison, pulverise the mind and awaken the senses, then I'd encourage them to check out this record we're about to put out. However if people are content with their vapid and vacuous, mainstream metal crap, then I'd urge them to stay away, as it would most likely be lost on them anyway.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Only a few demos to very little exposure or distribution. However, over the past year(roughly) we've played some higher profile live shows all over Canada with bands such as 3 Inches of Blood, Obscura, Impiety, Antediluvian, and live videos of our sets caused a lot of stir and attention. The reception from the media and maniacs alike was ecstatic, so we got ourselves into full recording gear to capitalize on this.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We just got back from a killer Canadian tour in support of the live tunes, which was our 3rd tour as such in a year and a half. We've also been prolific with dates throughout our home province of British Columbia, playing all over it with acts like Mitochondrion, Tyrants Blood, Burialkult and Xul. We're currently looking into our first tour abroad, after our record drops on Poland's Hellthrasher Productions in October. So yes, we stay very busy.

What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Only our disturbing and maniacal work ethic, penchant for writing chaotic and evocative music and absolute conviction and commitment to what we do. We are coming!!!

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
The current objective is to widen the faithful by spreading the gospel outside of Canada. Once this album drops, we'll be looking into touring South America, Europe, or the States.
Also, a small split compilation with American black metal act VadimVon will be out shortly, and available through us, or through them, on their tour with Morbid Angel.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
Check us out on bandcamp or facebook. The age of the Old Ones will arise!
