Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
I was determined to create a long term project with or without other musicians, so I laid the rst Blasphemation tracks down via computer back in 2000. At the time my music was more or less patterned after traditional death metal. Over the years, the project became more digital. These days I rarely use any live instruments on the tracks. I have always had a dificult time fnding like-minded people to work with. There are a few tracks on each album that have some live instruments, mostly friends.

How would you describe your style? Which bands inuenced your music?
My style is a mesh of the bands I grew up listening to, as well as a few more recent infuences. The short description is Industrial Death Metal. Vocally and lyrically I was infuenced heavily by early Deicide and Cannibal Corpse.
In recent years a more Grind/Noise and even Black Metal infuence is there, bands like Cattle Decapitation & Diabolicum.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
It’s a fresh take on Death Metal. I create sounds and atmosphere that are not possible with the traditional band setup. It’s very modern and in your face. Extreme death metal minus the trends, with no compromise.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
To date I have 2 full length albums released via Torn Flesh Records. The rst disc, "Blasphemation” was originally released in small home made batches periodically since 2005, with an online release in 2010. The new disc "Nightmare Cacophony” was also released online in 2010.
The extreme metal heads give them both praise, while the more mainstream crowds often don’t understand.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
I have played some live shows, but that’s not really my focus. I am mainly a digital artist, so there is only so much I can do live. If I do any live shows they are short sets.

What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
I am here to stay. I have been doing this for a long time, and will continue to create innovative music for years to come. Blasphemation is not a copy cat/cookie cutter death metal band. I always try to keep it fresh, but I do have a recognizable sound.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
I have a third and fourth album in the works right now. One will be all new material, very industrial/grind/blast, very unorthodox. So far that album is averaging about a minute per track. Very short brutal blast tracks that have deviated from traditional death metal. The other will be remix/live material from the beginning up to the present. These will both be digital releases through Torn Flesh Records.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
Both of my albums are available through Torn Flesh Records (www.myspace.com/tornfeshrecords). I do have t-shirts available to order online through midwest merch (www.midwestmerch.net). To keep up to date with Blasphemation friend me on facebook (www.facebook.com/prole.php?id=100001906607240) or myspace (www.myspace.com/blasphemationband).
