Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Bloodwraith was formed in the summer of 2010 after the breakup of my previous band. I wanted to continue on the path that was started by that band, but also develop it even further, so I began writing the first songs almost immediately. In December of that year I went into a local studio and did some recording, though looking back I think maybe I should have waited a bit longer, giving the songs time to mature. In March of 2011 I again entered the studio and layed down another track. The songs are ok, but their finalized versions will be much better on the second Bloodwraith full length. Currently Bloodwraith consists of myself (Wargoat) on vocals and drums, and Moribund on guitars and bass. We recorded our debut album As Above, So Below with this lineup. When it comes to writing the music, it was, at least for this album, a cooperative fare. I hope it will stay that way.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We fit firmly into the black metal genre, but I'd like to think we combine elements of other styles as well. If you listen to the album you will hear that there are many elements of thrash and even heavy metal in there. As for influences, we like stuff such as Emperor, Venom, Bathory, Celtic Frost/Hellhammer, Mayhem, Slayer, Destroyer 666 etc

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we make quality music that, even if you don't like black metal, you will find something enjoyable in our work. We are different from the average BM band. I personally listen to other styles of music that sometimes may creep their way into the sound of Bloodwraith, whether it's intentional or not. There can be no boundaries to our art!!

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far a promo demo has been released consisting of the two songs I recorded by myself, a rehearsal single, and now the full length album. So far the reactions have been very good from the people who have heard the album in its entirety. I'm pleased with it myself.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Unforunately we have not played live yet, and this is something that won't happen soon I'm afraid, but of course one day I would like to take this band on the road and spread our message of darkness even further. It's all about getting a committed lineup together with guys who want this as bad as I do.

What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
They should know that we do things differently and that is what makes us stand out from the thousands of BM bands out there. We take our time, we perfect our craft, and we do not settle for anything less than sheer audial hell! I think we can appeal to any number of labels and we are looking right now for one to release As Above, So Below to the world. Interested labels, get in touch!!!

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Well, right now I have a few songs written for the next album which I will pass along to Moribund for him to come up with his own guitar parts. The goal is to get a solid 10 or so songs for the next album and to record them with a much better sound than As Above... Not too clean, just better!
