Hi, and thanks for the questions. Well, Bylec-Tum was early an underground Black Metal 'zine hailing from Italy, born from the ashes of Obscurity 'zine. This act started back in 1995, and there were 14 issues out until 2007 (now the 'zine is temporarely "on ice"). In January 2004 I also started (on my own) the label-side of Bylec-Tum, with its first official release: TOD "Hate Campaign, Hymn to the Death" full-length Musicassette. The label was born with the main idea of spreading around some of the darkest sounds, thoughts and feelings being part of my underground world, the perfect soundtracks of my everyday life. In the beginning I started with Grim Black Metal releases for bands such as the already named TOD (Italy), Black Flame (Italy), Cold Northern Vengeance (Usa), Apolion (Italy), Luctus (Lithuania), Cryfemal (Spain), as well as some depressive and sinister grey releases from bands such as Black Autumn (Germany) and Triumphus Mortis (Italy). In 2008 I also started releasing sorrowful instrumental Post Rock/Ambient tape-editions for albums from bands such as God Is An Astronaut (Eire), Parhelia (Eire), Vanessa Van Basten (Italy) and Nicker Hill Orchestra (Italy). Some of my newest releases are those from Murk (Italy, dirty and old-school necro-black/thrash/punk), Jakob (New Zealand, majestic emotional instrumental Post-Rock/Ambient), Vanessa Van Basten (one of the most promising instrumental dark/doomish post-rock acts from Italy, very evocative and atmospheric music), Black Autumn (decadent yet experimental Black/Doom/Ambient), and the second CD from Apolion, entitled "Death Grows into Sperm", limited to 1.000 copies and actually nearly sold-out (the first CD "Hungry of Souls" was instead published in a limited edition of 500 copies in 2007, gone sold-out in 2008).

The sold-out releases are: TOD "Hate Campaign, Hymn to the Death" Tape (limited to 333 copies), Black Flame "Torment and Glory" Tape (limited to 333 copies), Cold Northern Vengeance "Curse" Tape (limited to 333 copies) and Apolion "Hungry of Souls" debut CD (limited to 500 copies, Pro CD).

All the rest is still available (older releases are nearly going to be sold-out actually, being limited editions).

I decide it when I feel uncontainable emotions listening to a particular music-work, something I MUST let other people know and feel like I feel. No matter if it's Doom, Black Metal, Ambient, Thrash/Punk or Post-Rock, I'm not a "closed mind" and I'm sure that all my releases could be appreciated by everybody having sensitiveness and ears for dark and decadent music.

A band must capture my earth, mind and soul with their texts and sounds, or just with music (when it comes from instrumental ones). This is the main feature. No ideologies, nor particular creeds are necessary here.

Just writing me, and sending their promos. I'm one who replies to all letters and emails, I always do it.

What should a band know? That I'd need deep emotions by their music, and that I'm a "merchant of feelings", not just stuff. My main purpose with this label is to spread emotions, mainly dark feelings.

It's empathy, sensitiveness. And of course friendship, when it happens (most of the times).

What do I offer to my bands? Support and spreading, not just royalties. Total support, in all possible ways.

Not actually. I've always released all the planned works. When I want something released out, I do it. No matter if it needs one day or one year, at the end I always do what I planned before. My plans with music are the most important thing in my everyday life; it's not a job, and it's not a fucking hobby. Underground music is my only religion.

Well, I'm actually going to release a 12"LP for TOD (Italy), it's the reissue of their first work "Black Vengeance" (Italian Grim Black Metal gem from 2002) on vinyl edition. It will be limited to 333 copies, and we are actually working on the artwork (the front-cover Art is going to be released by Aaron Stainthorpe, singer of My Dying Bride and main visual Artist for his band's albums). I'm also going to publish Pg.Lost (Sweden) "In Never Out" official Musicassette-Album (awesome sorrowful instrumental Post-Rock from Sweden); Orfvs (Finland) "I" Tape (Atmospheric Grim Northern Black Metal); Infamous (Italy) "t.b.a." Musicassette (Grim, Hateful and decadent Black Metal in the best nordic tradition, this band has been a real revelation here in Italy lately!); Aegrus (Finland) "t.b.a." full-length Tape or CD (Raw and Grim Nordic Black Metal, the way it should really be, musically and lirically).

Other releases are planned as well, but these are the certain and confirmed ones, for the moment. 

I personally hate all kinds of "social networks". I myself don't have an official website, facebook or twitter profiles, nor Myspace.
