Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
I founded this band two years ago. We got our start playing underground shows in a little warehouse called PDM in our hometown, eventually working our way in the bars and clubs. As far as the lineup goes we've had a couple guys come and go in the past two years, but I think we're onto a pretty solid lineup now. John (the drummer) and I have then in the band the longest.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I describe us as Blackened Death/Groove/Cosmic/Thrash, with a tip of the hat to the guitar heroes of old. We're influenced by the classics such as: Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath during the Dio years especially! And then of course Lamb of God, Meshuggah, Gojira, Mastodon, Black Breath, Power Trip, Behemoth.. The list goes on and on.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we write riff ripping songs, with groove, gut wrenching gutturals, brutal breakdowns, and blistering guitar solos that make your uncle Lester want to light up a joint and put on his old snakeskin boots.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We just released our debut EP titled Riff City. The feedback has been great so far, again we're not huge but was surprised at the reaction from folks outside the states. Recently we've been getting new fans from areas we've never even been to, or at all familiar with.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We play live quite often, got a couple weeks off right now but we're getting back at it at the end of October playing a  off show and then a mini tour around the beginning of November.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
I think we've got a great product, I think it's original, I think it's interesting, and think that we're onto something.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
First we're going to focus on the shows and lining up the rest of the year. Maybe do some writing in December. We've got plans for really cool video idea, hopefully we'll get something together by the spring. Then pounding the pavement next summer.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
Right now you can get our music from deadmedusa.bandcamp.com. We were working on negotiations for digital distribution agreement with the company out of stain that recently fell through, so we're going to go our own distribution route and we should have content on Spotify, Apple Music, Google play, all the major streaming services in a month or so.
