Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band was originally summoned in late 2011 when guitarist and vokalist Helltorture decided to conjure a black metal project named Demonplague, after consulting with friend and brutal drummer ( Hillbilly ) the procession of madness and chaos began, Demonplague was created in Melbourne, Australia with both Helltorture and Hillbilly influenced by the black metal scene ever since it erupted. The rehearsals started once a week at the suburban den of Hillbilly's house which later became the recording studio for Demonplague. Our equipment was nothing flash, old amps and guitars and for recording we used a single mic hanging from the ceiling. Both Helltorture and Hillbilly wanted to create a raw black and cold sound with distant vocals and music that was original and dark. It was our fukking metal our fukking way!! Our first track ( Reaping Havoc ) was written later on in 2011 with the conjoining effort of both Helltorture and Hillbilly it was brutally dark and cold. After deciding who was going to do vocals the track was then recorded live with vocals overdubbed. After a few rehearsals and listening back to the music it was apparent that Demonplague required a bass player, so Helltorture decided to ask x guitarist from Melbourne band Antichrist if he was interested in joining the band and playing bass. After a couple more rehearsals Demonplague claimed another member and became a 3 piece outfit set to terrorize the world!

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Demonplague describe their style as original, aggressive and cold Blackmetal with influences from both local and overseas bands such as early Mayhem, Arckanum, Pest, Dark Throne, Armagedda, Carpathian Forest.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Our music is different and original, it is "our fukking metal our fukking way!"
Demonplague are full of aggression and are exhuming the old school brutality with coldness and raw hatred that dwells in the underground, and our local and overseas supporters are strong and many.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far Demonplague have only released 5 live demo tracks on Reverbnation and are about to be record our first 5 track EP titled "Headstone Bulldozer", we have also contributed to two Black Metal compilations releases.
The response from local and overseas bands and supporters have been fantastic, Demonplague have been getting a lot of air play on internet metal radio such as Nuclear Rock Radio and others and gaining popularity with webzines and local organizers to perform at shows.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Demonplague have not yet played live, we await the release of our EP first.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
They all should be interested in Demonplague because we are a possessed underground and unsigned brutal band that show alot of the old school traits, we are cold and raw, we are hostile and ready to terrorize, desecrate and destroy!

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We have big plans to perform live and produce more music, get this EP released and to do an album.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
