Review:
Dirty Shirt from Maramures (northern Romania) released new musical pearl! From the first track of „Lethology" - „Latcho Drom" music begins the high-energy fusion of Romanian folk with metal and hardcore and all that can be mixed into this delicious musical mamaliga. Next song, "Palinca" is still a moment of rural music straight from the fun of the game - but naothrt track "Put in on" is already folk / ska / hardcore close to the New York HC sounds although of course kept in the Romanian realities. Dirty Shirt using folk hits with changed lyrics for  contemporary romanian reality... "Fake" - that’s the atmosphere of dancing in Van Halen’s funny style - and in "Nem Loptam" is the return to Transylvanian sounds with hungarians motives. "Hora Lenta" is a folkmetal gem with a large ex-yugoslavia’s turbofolk impact - and "Killing Spree" is a bit of a mockery and a bit scary gangsta metalcore/HC with elements of... manele. "Nice Song" is ska / reggae - but in the style in which this music mix would be performed by Maria Tanase. Finally "Starea Natiei" puts a dot on this musical reactor. There is kickin’ ass powerage! "Letchology" is a well-thought-out musical hybrid, where the combinations fit like a glove, where the proportions between humor and reverie are thoroughly appropriate, where rebellion and fun go hand in hand. I would like to add that the album works great live, I found out personally Dirty Shirt on funfckin’tasting gig on February 23 in Cluj Napoca in the Form Space club.
