Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Divinity Compromised was formed in 2009 by veterans from several notable groups in the Chicago area . Jeff Treadwell and Vito Marchese started writing music that eventually led to the release of the debut album " A World Torn" in 2013. Leading up to the release of "A World Torn" the band went through a couple of bass players before finally landing Andrew Bunk. Ben Johnson was doing only Keyboards during that time until the departure of Vito Marchese on rhythm guitar. At that point Ben Johnson took over the responsibility of doing both keys and rhythm guitars. Mike Mousel has been on drums since the beginning of Divinity Compromised. The line up has been solid since which has brought us to bringing the fans the new album "Terminal ". The exciting part of this new album is that each member was a part of the writing process.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I know that there are so many sub genres out there in the metal community lol....but if I had to best describe Divinity Compromised would be Dark Symphonic Prog Metal. Influences range very high in this band as there's a slight bit of an age difference between members. But the key bands that we have been influenced by are Evergrey,Nevermore,Symphony X,Opeth, etc.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
I think this is the kind of band that most metalheads can appreciate. The songs are well constructed and thought out. There isn't one song that we rushed to write just to fill out time on a full album. We are proud of what we have created.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Our previous release " A World Torn" had several rave reviews. I have heard the term masterpiece used several times from reviewers and fans.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes we do play out live and have been well received each time we do. We even landed a spot on the prestigious Festival "Progpower USA" in 2013 of which we had a great response! Plans to support the new album "Terminal" is in the works.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
There's so much life in this band. The quality of our music is only gonna go up. We have enough material to release several more albums and the writing hasn't stopped. We are just very picky about what we choose to go on a record because an album has to flow.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We plan to support the new album playing out live going into 2018. We want to gain as many news fans as we can. We also have plans to release an EP sometime in the spring. More music means more metal!!

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
We have songs on YouTube and other streaming services for your listening pleasure.
You can buy our music on CDbaby,Amazon,ITunes,Rhapsody, etc.
We also signed a deal with No Dust Records in Europe for distribution.
