Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Enochian Cross is an Extreme Metal (unsigned) band from Greece, Athens which has formed the winter of 2011. We played our first live shows in various areas of Athens, performing our own songs and some covers. After some line-up changes, in February 2014 we recorded our first single which is called "Forest Of Afterlife" and released on the web, in April of the same year, accompanied by a video clip. The current line-up of the band is:
John Didas: Vocals
Mike Kormalis: Keyboards & Backing Vocals
Thanasis Karabogias: Lead & Rhythm Guitar
George Gianniotis: Lead & Rhythm Guitar
Josh Abu Hussein: Bass Guitar
John Psarakis: Drums & Percussion

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our music characterizes Extreme Metal because as a band we like to experiment with different styles of the hard sound. We try to combine different types of metal to which we are familiar individually from the whole range of metal music. Our influences relate the death metal and the melodic sound, we cite influences in genre-defining European metal bands such as In Flames, Septic Flesh, Gojira, Arch Enemy, Entombed, Carcass to name a few.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we're cool, dark, heavy and we need all their money, hahahahaha! (about of funny, always). Well, we released only one single. So we can tell to anyone who likes our song, just to buy it to support us as an underground band. Anyone who likes our song, he can download it for free or submit whatever is pleasure of him, via Bandcamp (enochiancross.bandcamp.com).

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
A few months ago we released our first single entitled "Forest Of Afterlife" accompanied by a video clip. So far we have received nice reviews and we hope to continue this way and to hear it more people and like it.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Of course, that’s what the whole thing is about. We play live as well in our homeland, Athens, and we try to play live as much as we can in order to have the opportunity to present our material to even more people.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We make music with all the passion that we have and try to make every song and every concert a unique experience for the listener as well as for ourselves. Maybe someone who don’t know us and see us playing live for his first time, as we climb the stage, he may say: “what gay band is this?” hahahahaha! But once we start to play, he will see (except our gay keyboardist and vocalist) something unexpected: dynamics, energy, heaviness, melody, ambience and “archidila” as we say here in Greece. Hahahaha!

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
For the moment, as we said, we want to engage as many live performances as we can, in order to have the opportunity to present our material to even more people - even abroad if it's possible. Moreover, in our plans there is the recording of our first album, but it's still too early for that.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
