Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Erevos was formed at the end of 2004 by Growler, Tisiphoni and Kerveros. Until today we have 6 releases and the newly release is our full-length ‘Descensus Ad Inferos’, which mix and master made by Dan Swano (Bloodbath,Katatonia, Edge Of Sanity). We have played in Greece and aboard with many great names. We ‘ve changed many members and the current line up is: Growler-Vocals-Bass, Tisiphoni-Keyboards, Pias-Guitar, Abraxas-Guitar, Tek-Drums.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Well many people say that we have a unique style and really we can not describe our music style exactly. We say that we play symphonic black/death with many thrash influences. This happens because we have many influences from different kind of metal bands. Of course we are 5 people with different point of views about music. Some of the bands that had influenced us are: Dissection, Emperor, Exodus, Kreator, Deicide, Bathory and many more.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we create something different and certainly aggressive, with good quality of sound and music.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
As I said we have 6 releases:
• Burning Souls (Demo)
• Mythological Evil (Demo)
• Death Toll Rising (by Serapis productions - USA – split release)
• compilation of two demos (by Satanhades productions - Portugal)
• Adou Katavasis (mastered by Dan Swano - EP)
• Descensus Ad Inferos (mixed and mastered by Dan Swano released by Orkestral Promenade Productions – Full Length)
We have many good reviews and many good opinions from important people/bands. Also every work of ours (except from Adou Katavasis ‘cause we didn’t search any) has a label. So I guess that we have a good feedback.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?Ohhh YEAH!!!As I said we performed many live shows in Greece, we played in Bulgaria several times (one of them was at Winterstorm Festival) and we made a tour in France. We played with many great names: Mayhem, Satyricon, Necrodeath, Arkhon Infaustus, Order Of The Ebon Hand, Dead Congregation, Acherontas, Enshadowed, Rotting Flesh and many more.
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Because we play something different and we have strong will to continue our work and we are willing to work harder and harder.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
To find a booking agency in order to have a European tour. Also we want to participate in festivals.
