Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Its an album that touch many different styles of metal, from classic heavy metal to thrash to power metal, there are even hints of folk metal in there. It starts off with the fast thrashing song 'The queen'. Mostly the lyrics are about social problems, corruption and greed. But also some songs are about special experiences most of us have, have had or will have. I mean things like depression, fear or just becoming older. On the record we have an old Escapetor tune called "Escapetor" and this song was first features on a demo back in 2003/4.
Yes, we are very satisfied with the final release! I think we manage to capture a modern sound to classic types of songs.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
The feedback we have got so far from magazines are pointing to a more classic metal style of music. Keeping to our roots of metal back in the 70/80/90s.
If it sounds like anything else? sure, don't know. I think you can hear lots of different influences here.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
It is recorded in www.studiovalhalla.com. its a studio that is run by our guitar player Ragnar. its also our rehearsal room. the album was recorded over a period of one and a half years. Henning Jansen had to leave the band because of work related issues and Dan Gundersen stepped up to the plate. This also added some time to the recording. we took some time to rehearse the songs to get in the "feel" before we recorded the songs. This was also done when Dan came in. Also our vocalist (Clausius) lives in Germany and that takes time to get everything done. sending ideas back and forth...
If you can call it interesting; when we recorded the Guitars and drums we sent stereo files to Claudius so that he could start working on the vocals. He sent us back the files that we could import into pro-tools. Claudius recorded the vocals back in his studio and then when we had a good mix, Claudius came to Norway and the studio to help with the final mix. That worked out really well.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The artwork is done by a guy called bloodboy. we fond a cool pre-made picture that he made and got him to add in our own Escapetor scull. there are no direct link between the cover and lyrics but everybody fears the apocalypse and the aftermath it might bring. so in that it might still have some link to the lyrics.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
We expect no less than world domination! haha. No we only hope people will enjoy this album. after the release we will have 2 gigs this year. and we are starting to plan more gigs for next year.

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
The album is released in digital and on cd format in a nice digipack. at first it gets pressed in 500 copies.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
Escapetor have signed with Crime Records in Norway and they will handle the promotion for the record. Also Crime and Escapetor + individual band members will use their contacts on mail, facebook to promote the cd. We also have t-shirts we will sell via the web and on gigs.
