Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
We just released our debut album Storming Heaven digitally via our bandcamp and have a pre-order setup for the physical CD there as well (mailing out by last week of Aug). The album has been a year and a half in the making and we feel it is a great representation of who we are and what we are about. The album is very much based in black metal but there are plenty of influences from death and thrash. Songs such as the first two track We Are Sin and Pallium Mali have a more old school black/thrash feel to them I think while tracks such as The Beckoning and King of the Egoists have a clear death metal influence. We are all very pleased with this release and very much look forward to building upon the foundation it has laid for the band.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
Black/Death is probably the best label one could give the music if we're going to get specific. I'm sure one could draw comparisons to existing bands upon hearing us.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
The album was recorded at my personal studio, Velocity Studios. We started tracking early 2014 and finished a couple months ago. I do not believe it could have went any smoother. Not too many stories to tell as much of the time spent was me either tracking guitar or vocals or mixing/mastering. I am proud to say David knocked the drum tracks out in only a few hrs and nailed it. What you hear is what he played, no bullshit editing going on.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The artwork was created by Gragoth of Luciferium War Graphics and we couldn't be more impressed with his work. The artwork depicts the destruction of heaven which ties directily to the album title and title track of the album. The lyrics overall are very much anti-religion and mock the static-minded followers of these charlatans. The track Storming Heaven directly ties with the artwork as it depicts the hordes of hell overtaking and burning heaven to cinders.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
Our goal is to get our music out to the metal masses, pure and simple.

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
The album has been released digitally and will be released on CD in a few weeks. We haven't explored the idea of any other formats but if the demand appears we will. There isn't necessarily a limited press for the CD's as we can simply order more as they are needed.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
We have utilized the services of Clawhammer PR to assist us with promotion of the album. We are only a week in and have already noticed the benefits of their work. Other than that we will be playing out regionally to promote the album.

Where can we order it from?
It can be ordered directly from us at fornicus.bandcamp.com .
