Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band was formed by myself (Andy Barton) and my mate called Fraser Watt - we started as a joke internet project back in 2015, but we ended up releasing an EP called Here be Dragonlords that year. We recruited random people online to play on the EPs up until 2018 - by then, David Hills, a friend from University joined, along with Fabio Garau, Nelson Moreira & Mo Abdelgadir. Since then, we released Dragons of the Ages (2019) and have played several shows. 2020, we're releasing our 3rd album, Tales, Sagas & Legends - we're releasing the album in 3 instalments, with Tales have been released already back in May

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We're a Symphonic Power Metal band from the UK - we play epic metal music with tongue in cheek lyrics
Much of our inspiration comes from the Power Metal giant bands: Helloween, Rhapsody, Dragonforce & Nightwish. We also take influence from the likes of Hans Zimmer & Two Steps From Hell.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Our style is fun and energetic - the aim is to make you feel powerful! If you enjoy the idea of an epic quest, battling pirates or dragons, then we might be a band for you!

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We've released 3 EPs and 2 albums prior to 2020 - we've had a lot of positive feedback! Our style is often highlighted and its ability to convey a powerful image. We've also had a lot of reviews that state that we're a good band to get drunk to!

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Absolutely, we've played a bunch of shows in the UK - we've got some festivals booked for next year which is great !

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
I'd say that we offer the ability to bring joy to our listeners - we've had messages from fans saying that we've helped them through tough times, and that really means a lot. The music is uplifting, bouncy and epic - for fans of the genre, we think we have something great to offer.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Once our album is completed this year, we will be focussing heavily on gigs - having said that, we have an obsession with making new music, so we wouldn't even be surprised ourselves if we end up making another record in 2021!

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen and buy our entire discography on ur bandcamp page: https://grimgotts.bandcamp.com/
You can buy both of our albums on CD!
We also have our entire discography available on Spotify!
