Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Helevorn started in 1999, with Samuel (guitars), Josep (vocals), Xavi (drums), Kike (keyboards) giving the first chords and now completed with the actual line-up: Sandro (guitars) and Guiem Morey (bass).
With the first finished songs they recorded a promo cd called "Prelude” in winter of 2001.
After few years of songwriting and some important line up changes, in October 2005 we decided to record them at Ona Digital Studios (Mallorca), and mastered at Finnvox Studios (Finland) by Mika Jussila. The final result was a self released new Cd called "Fragments”, opening some new doors to the band.
Then the band was touring around Spain since November 2005 in many cities.
We were asked to appear on "December Songs, Tribute to Katatonia”, released in December 12th 2006 by Northern Silence Productions.
In November 2007 the band had the opportunity to tour with Swallow the Sun in their first Spanish and Portuguese tour, and playing at Dutch Doom Days 6 in Rotterdam.
In 2009 we recorded our second studio album, produced by Jens Bogren and Johan Ornborg, also producers of bands like KATATONIA, OPETH, DRACONIAN, PARADISE LOST, etc. The sound became more intense, slower, darker and doomier guiding the band to a bit different direction. The album artwork was made by Robert Høyem (www.attheends.com), a Norwegian artist with lots of potential, who knew perfectly how to transmit Helevorn’s new concept.
In January 2010 Helevorn signs with the Russian label BadMoodMan/Solitude Productions, releasing "Forthcoming Displeasures”.
After that we have played some gigs in Spain (Valencia, Zaragoza and Palma) before our performance in July at Devilstone Open Air Festival in Lithuania, sharing the stage with bands like Grave, Mayhem, Tankard and many more.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Helevorn is a Dark-Doom band, and our influences are really huge, we listen any kind of metal and no-metal, we also love the bands from the 80’s like Christian Death, Sisters of Mercy, Duran Duran or Depeche Mode.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
If there is any metalhead who likes Doom Metal with some depressing atmosphere made it with honesty should listen to HELEVORN.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We have released one promo in 2001 "Prelude” that is totally sold out, our first cd "Fragments” in 2005, this was our first "real” contact with medias and fans and. "Fragments” opened Helevorn´s Spanish frontiers. With our new album "Forthcoming Displeasures” we had consolidate our sound and the answer of medias and public is fantastic!

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Sure! We have toured on 2007 with Swallow The Sun on their Spanish and Portuguese dates, also made some festivals around Europe like Dutch Doom Days in Rotterdam (Netherlands) on 2007, Madrid Is The Dark Fest, Spain on 2009 or Devilstone Open Air in Lithuania this last summer.

What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We began in 1999, we have made lots of shows over Spain and some around Europe, we signed with BadMoodMan/Solitude Prod. and we think our new album is a big step in our career, we think we can contribute with some good ideas in the Doom/Death Metal scene.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are working in some tours over Europe for early 2011. After that we will start to create new compositions, we would like to have the new songs for the next album in 2012.
