Hello ! I'm Fab and I'm running the label called INFERNÖ Records. The label started officially in 2007 but existed for a few months before as a distro label only... INFERNÖ Records is ran by me.. only... I have the help of some friends from time to time for the promotion thru the internet, but I do everything almost alone... INFERNÖ Records deals with old-school Heavy-Metal and its subgenres.. 

 

All our releases are still available except the first one, which was VASTATOR "Hell Only Knows" album.. sold-out from us but you still can find it on the net for sure... All our  other CD-releases are available... We also release cassette-singles, which are limited to 100 copies only.. We did 5 different releases so far, only RAMPART and RAZORWYRE are still available but they'll soon be sold-out too ! I can't say there're MORE important releases on the label, I release albums because I LOVE the bands.. so there's no better album for me, I treat them equally if you see what I mean... Maybe our first releases were more "extreme" as we had released LEGIONS OF WAR (thrash/black) and HATESTORM (black).. our most recent ones are more traditional heavy-metal I guess... but you still can find aggressive Thrash (Tyranex) and classic pounding Hard-Rock (Butcher)... 

 

There's no specific criteria.. If a band comes to me with music that kicks my ass, makes me headbanging and screaming out loud, well, I guess this is something I like alot hehe, so we can start talking about a possible deal... it's all a matter of personal tastes... For example, there's not much in common with bands like CRUSHING BLOW and VÖRGUS, but both are on the label.. well.. the only thing is the "old-school" orientation... you won't find any gothic-nu-metal-core bands on INFERNÖ Records... 

 

The simpliest way is still to contact me at inferno-records@hotmail.fr . Bands must know that i won't release any nu-goth-metal-core bands... if they're into old-school metal, then I'll consider their material... but they must also know that I'm really busy with the bands that are already on the label and I have already many new releases planned.. I even have some new bands on the label that are not announced yet... 

 

The human factor is something really important.. Music can be awesome, if I feel people are dickheads or assholes, then I won't work with them.. Modesty, honesty must be essential... I try to support the bands the best I can thru promotion thru the medias (radio, webzines, magazines) and when it is possible, trying to get them some gigs, but it seems this is something really difficult as long as you're not a BIG label... 

 

Oh yes, there are bands I wanted to release but for some reasons they went to work with other labels.. but no need for names, I respect their choices and things have always been clear with them and still are.. we keep good relationships... Otherwise, no... I'm happy with the way the label goes, really :-)Is there anything you planned with your label and has not yet been completed?

 

I have new releases planned until mid-2013, which will keep me very busy.. Next releases are RAZORWYRE CD, CLENCHED FIST CD, RAMPART CD, AXECUTER CD... The other bands are working on forthcoming albums but no date have been defined yet... RAZORWYRE is one of our latest bands and they'll be playing KEEP IT TRUE 2013 - don't miss them if you can !!!
