Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
K.A, a violent saucer since 1999, the year of their first album, evolved naturally and without worrying about fashion or trends.
After a period of gestation, K.A was reborn from its ashes in 2007. A new integrated line-up consisting of O.H.M on solo guitar, R.A.F on rhythm guitar, R.U.L on drums and as always H.RaM on bass and vocals.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
K.A deliver fast and powerful music that revives the largest of the metal scene such as Slayer and Pantera. Integrated with passages influenced from more recent bands such as Job For A Cowboy or Black Dahlia Murder, K.A keeps an open vision on the metal scene with no state of mind for old school or new school.
The guitar riffs and the omnipresent solos remind us of the essence of metal. A rich, inventive music filled with complex melodies and unhealthy harmonies.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we're the king! (big laugh)
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media? 3 albums and 1 EP (2001/Obsessions, 2003/Close-Up, 2004/D.Termination, 2011/Gestation). The reviews are pretty cool. You can check it online.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
France is a beautiful country, but to play metal it's shit. If you do not play the fashion music like metal-core, you can go to hell. We have not a lot of gigs unfortunately. But when we play, it's war!
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Big label doesn't know everything...about us? But they should focus on us because we are the kings of metal (big laugh again). Zines support us in general.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Record a new EP called "reborn...again" for the mid-year 2012.
