Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
MASTERPIECE started its activities in November 1998 in the city of Curitiba/Brazil. Initially playing exclusively covers the brothers and Denisson Regisson Silva guided the first steps of banda, which appeared in local celebrations among friends. In addition to the original formation and Denisson Regisson (vocals / guitar and guitar leader respectively) complete the line up had yet to Paula Purkott (bass) and Tatiane Mianti (drums).
After many changes in the line up, in 2006 it launched "The Seventh Card" (EP), produced by Deny Bonfante and featured the art of Makila Crowley. But, like any metal band in Brazil, the trajectory was bound to be difficult. There was not time to celebrate the new release and even reap fruits of it. A few months after the release of the EP the band is broken in half with simultaneous output of Klauber and Adenilson. The Silva brothers found themselves hamstrung unable to work full potential of the first launch.
In early 2007 the band released new material exclusively on the Internet for free download, which were actually the pre production of the songs "Mr. Disgrace "and the instrumental" Hecatombe. " Soon after entering the banda Thiago Bianchi and Peter Chiarelli, new shows have made the banda strong enough to return to the studio. And in 2008 it launched the band's second EP called "W.A.F.E." (Water, Air, Fire and Earth) which was produced by Deny Bonfante and Regisson Silva, arte de Denisson Silva. With this release the band hit the international metal media. If succeeded excellent reviews and interviews. And then set up great expectations for the first full length album from the band.
The recordings of the new album starting in December 2009. The group worked without haste and in order to make the best album possible, since the expectations were great and the band could not disappoint. After a long period of production the band finally finds her first CD called "Heirs of Freedom." The album was produced, recorded and mixed by Regisson Silva in RVB Studios in Blumenau / SC, and mastered by Caio Duarte in BroadBand Productions in Brasilia / DF, 2011. How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We do a mix between heavy and thrash metal. Our main influences are Metallica, Megadeth, Sepultura and Pantera. But each member of the band brings his own influences, creating a very something different mix.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
First of all because we do what we love to do. We have seen on our shows the crowd banging and really enjoying our stuff. And that is all about, having fun. If you love metal you probably will love what we do. Second I think it's time to put your eyes on the new bands. The older ones are great and we will leve them forever, but they are not Highlanders. Metal needs to be supported and renovated.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Our latest album was released last year and we thing we are growing more and more. Not even the public but also the media around the world start to recognize this.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes we love to play live concerts. And we have few stuff booked, but we still setting more concerts for the next months.

What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
For the same reason I told you before. The band is a kind of machine and labels, zines, promoters, etc act like a fuel. We need each other. And we are convinced that we have an important role on the metal scene, our public shows that when they go crazy on our live concerts. So why not been supported?

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are promoting our latest album and now the things have really started. Now we hope to do good concerts and receive good reviews from the album. After that we will start a new project and maybe we can have a tour outside of our country.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
