Review:
Following their 2018 debut full-length album it seems Seville based Death Metal trio (now they seem to be a quartet though, but this material was recorded as a three-piece) Murderworker are going forward at full throttle and here we have a new release, a two tracks (plus intro) EP out in a very nice digipak format that shows the band (and their label, Base Record) is treating this as professional as possible, and that, enhanced by their musical performance obviously, makes me recommend the band to anyone into old-school mid-tempo to fast paced Death Metal. Just think of a mix between the UK Death scene (Benediction, Bolt Thrower) and the Swedish masters (Entombed, Dismember) and you'll get the point; catchy, massively fat sounding guitar riffs seconded by an oppressive bass line and an infectious drumming, all colored by the guttural yet comprehensive vocals of Negro, and perfectly served by a sinister yet melodic 3 minutes intro. To conclude, I think Murderworker have done a marvelous job here, kudos to them for putting out this material on physical format, too!
