Review:
Third studio album from this Spanish Death Metal powerhouse, Inferus is co-released now by four different labels (Satanath, Cimmerian Shade, Murdher and Black Plague) on jewel-case CD limited to 900 copies and Digipak CD limited to only 100 copies; their previous album was released by 3 labels on 500 jewel-case CDs and 100 Digipak, so for Neter is a step forward and a grown confidence in their power as a band. Inferus features 10 tracks in a bit over 45 minutes of playing time, and offers a serious taste of traditional Death Metal with influences from bands like Morbid Angel, Nile or Vader, a massive sounding, technical, brutal and epic at times, but pure and straight-forward at all times. You know what you get from this album, pure Death Metal, no less than that, no other influences, maybe except from different Death Metal scenes (Florida, Poland, Sweden), so it is as honest as possible. There's plenty of variation in rhythms, the tracks are also quite different one from the other, so the boredone is successfully avoided by Neter and this proves we have a mature, skilled and experienced combo here. Give it a try if Death Metal is your thing.
