Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Officially ONICECTOMY was born in the early 2008 from the mind of BRUTALJOHN (last founding member still in the band) and Valerio Palumbo (ex guitar) with insertion of Savino Zaza and Klaudio Bojaxhiu respectively as singer and bass player. The combo start to write new stuff and record their first ep (self produced) called MANIACAL EPIDEMY. In the mean while the band starts also with live promotion activity along Italian territory which ends with the "SPREADING INFECTIVE BRUTALITY” Italian tour supporting Italian death metal based band Tools of Torture. In may 2009 Angelo Sergio (ex Engorgement in Veins) joins the band as guitarist bringing with him a great amount of experience and technical improvement, so the band’s sound radically changes passing from a raw and simple death metal sound to a more modern, technical, fast and slamming Brutal sound. The band start with the songwriting for their debut album which will be released from Russian label Coyote records. In September 2010 the band enters the "sound cubed Studio” to record DROWNING FOR SALVATION, among with live promotional activity in death fests. After the recording, in the early 2011 Savino and Valerio leave the band due to working and personal reasons, so Gigi Rotelli joins the combo as new Singer. With him the band starts a massive live promotion activity especially after the official Drowning for Salvation’s release in October 2011. In the early 2012 also Klaudio left the band, is place is really soon taken by Stefano Stufano. With him we are writing new material and continuing promotion activity both in italy and Abroad supporting Italian brutal masters Exhumer in "Degrade Europe 2012” tour, and played at some festivals supporting some of the death metal legends such as Sinister and OBITUARY.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
I can describe it as BRUTAL DEATH METAL: nothing less and nothing more: We are mostly influenced by all the american 90's scene that have launced the genre like Cannibal corpse and Suffocation, other band who improved the sound with more fast and techincal riffs like Dying Fetus, Skinless, Septycal gorge and some of the best slam masters like Devourment.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
First of all to support the underground scene XD Then cause I think the concept is intresting and not common and then cause it's an important step in our musical carrer that have put the bases for our future works, and you all knows how difficult is to follow a path with some steps missing.
And then we'd like to know what you think about that stuff so u can't not have this album in your personal collection!!

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Before drowning for salvaion we released just an EP called MANIACAL EPIDEMY in far 2008.it was Self produce so it haven't so much feedback. our first album, out last october via COYOTE RECORDS, it has got a lot of feedback by fans, webzine and promoters: a lot of people have appreciated our style and the groove coming out from our music; we received a lot of good reviews and this help us to write new stuff more killer.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Live activity is an important aspect of our band- the most important and the funniest in my opinion - We like so much travel and play expecially to know new people and see personally how scene in other places works. We have partecipated to some important festival since our debut album has been released, to promote it, playing also with some important international guests like Obituary,Sinister,Vomitory,Prostitute disfigurment,Decaying Purity. We should have done an european tour last April supporting Exhumer but unfortunately it has been canceled 2 days before leaving for personal reason of some of the people involved in it.

What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We usually send our promotional stuff towebzines, promoters, radio and labels cause we appreciate so much receiving back opinionts by expert people so they  often know all the news concerning the band. They should know that the band is always at work to write new stuff and improve their techinque, songwriting and live attitude. Nowadays there are always new bands that complete the scene so i think they should follow all the improvements.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are wirting the stuff for our new album..We hope to record a promo during this summer so labels and fans can know a little bit about our new production - believe me with th new line up the sound improved so much - then we'd like to finish the album recording in the end of 2012 so as we find a new label we can release it. By the way we won't interrupt or live activity so we are planning some shows for the new season (from september - october) and don't remeber we have a tour to recuperate \m/
