Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Rise In hatred was formed on 03/2010 by me (Atra Veneficus), I’ve tried to form a regular line-up several times, but I didn’t manage to find competent people so I decided to do it as a solo project, and it has worked out fine.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Well, I’d say my style is Black metal with some Brazilian music influences, like more complex harmonies and rhythms, this stuff is more present on my new stuff, which are not available yet. My music is influenced by bands such as Lord Belial, Nargaroth, Burzum, Dissection, Gorgoroth, Immortal, Behexen, Amorphis (old) and Katatonia (old).
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because it’s a slight different approach of black metal where I try to mix some of my country’s musical aspects rather than just copying Norwegian black metal, I have nothing against Norway or Norwegian black metal, but copying it, when you’re not from there, is something a asshole without personality and patriotism would do.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
The only release done by Rise In Hatred is the demo "Castle of Misanthropy” it was released on Ukraine, by Depressive Illusions Records, and Germany, by Runenstein Records and Wulfrune Worxx, on tape format, the Netherlands (Cd-r), by Svartghalg Records, and by July it will be released on Russia (CD) by Deleting Soul Recods. So far the public and the media has given a good response to my music.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
No, as I’ve mentioned before, I didn’t manage to find serious people to play with, so I told the guys that I called to form this band to fuck off, they were wasting my time and my patience, and by not playing live, less scene rats will know my work, which I think is great, because the scene is totally fake.
What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
They should know that I make original music, that I’m not one of this cliché musicians without personality that copies everything, and that I take music seriously, I use music as a form of expression, not as a form of getting rich,and they should be interested on the fact that I try to bring something new to the table instead of doing something that everybody does.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
I have already composed a new album, with eleven tracks, but I’m not willing to pay the studio expenses again, it’s too expensive, so I’m looking for a label that is willing to pay the studio expenses or at least willing to help me paying it.
