Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Schattenfang was founded by the former Singer Todesschrei T.E.S. and the former bassist and backingvocalist Selvmort in the last dying days of 2010 with another name.
a few relentless musicans come and go, until at the beginning of 2011 Eligos (guit.), Phil (guit.) and Invidia (drums) joined the horde and the band as it is known growed. The first demos were recorded and gigs were played- but after the recording-session of the first album "Abgründe", phil left the band. After a lot of trouble with selvmort he were also kicked and Ragnar Seelenzorn, known from projects like Cult of Selv or Endless Depression, get the new bassist and backingvocalist in 2012. In the same year Desiderius from Dark Armageddon and Höllensturm join the band for a few rehersals and recordings, but left it also because of the time for his main-projects. At the beginning of 2014, Ragnar, Eligos and Todesschrei left the band also because of intern trouble and time for other projects. For now, Invidia work with a lot of guests for the new album and are planning new concerts.

The band plays a hybrid of raw and depressive, suicidal Black Metal

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We released a demotape and the album "Abgründe" at a few labels all over the world (for the evidence of truth I put the URL right behind that)
It was recived very splitted, because not many people understand or like the shabby sound, for example:

We support the local and worldwide underground.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Planned are:
- a Live-Split-Album with Mortigor from costa rica, called "Cinis Ad Cinerem" (in progress)
- a live-DVD, called "Pulvis Ad Pulverem"
- a Full-Leigh-Album with a lot of guests, called "Was blieb,als du gegangen bist" (in progress)
- a mini-Split-Album with Forest of Filth
but in cact of the timeproblems and the other projects of the involved persons, its not fix when it all gets released
