Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Hi guys! First of all, Sepolcro started back in 2011 by Nicola B. who was the founder member on guitars and vocals. After one year he found the first lineup to record the first demo called Festering Evocation (released on cd and tape formats). After Festering Evocation everything seemed fine but unfortunately we started to have some lineup changes. In 2014 as a 3 pieces band with Nicola, me (Hannes) and Nor we recorded 3 tracks for an upcoming split with our friends Presumed Dead but for various label problems it was only released in 2016 under Headsplit Records. In 2015 after Simone entered in the band as second guitarist, Nicola and Nor were already leaving the band.
After 2/3 years in january 2018 me and Simone were in the same room practising some new riffs after a long time and it worked! Same period I was in touch with Nor (who now resides in the US) and talked about a Sepolcro's comeback , and she said "yeah! why not?" and so in February we entered at the Soundbusters Studio in Modena, Italy recording Guitars, Drums and vocals. Meanwhile Nor recorded in Texas the bass lines.
In only one month we composed, recorded, found a label and got the artwork to come out from the depths again!
2018 lineup:
- Hannes (Drums and vocals).
- Simone (Guitars and Vocals).
- Nor (Bass).

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Now in 2018 our style has changed a lot we are more heavy and have grinding sections alternating with sepulchral down-tempos. We have now a US trademark, we are a lot into bands like Rottrevore, Incantation, Disma, Molested Senses, Disordered and Phlegm.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Do you want to know it? I don't know... we are just 3 guys who have the same passion for the early 90s US rotten death metal. If you have to buy it is because you should support your local band as we support you. We are just playing some old shit for fun and not to be Rockstars.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far just 3 releases.
Our first demo Festering Evocation was incredible we sold out immediately something like 100 CDs and 33 tapes. After 1 year Unholy Domain Records reprinted it on 200 pro tapes and they went also sold out.
In 2014 we recorded Horrendous Plasmation. A split with Presumed Dead that came out only in 2016 with Headsplit Records on pro tapes. Seemed that a lot of people liked it because we (Sepolcro) were changing our style.
And now after the split up we are back with Undead Abyss, second demo that is going to be release with Unholy Domain Records on 100 green pro tapes in May. We hope also to release it on 7" lps this summer but who knows... we hope that you like it first!

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
From 2011 with did only a few live shows... something like 10/11 shows.
We like play live but back in 2012/2013 wasn't so easy for us for a lot of different reasons. You know, there is always who have to go to school (me) or have to work the day after. And of course one reason is that in our based city Verona weren't live clubs to perform. If I only have the possibility I'm the first who says YES.
But in 2018 our situation has changed a lot. I mean, Nor now lives in Houston, Texas and Simone and I here in Italy.. there is an Ocean between us ahah. Who knows!
We won't be a studio band! When the possibility arrives we are going to play live!

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
That is a good question. I don't know... Probably because Sepolcro is not the band which sounds like Entombed or Morbid Angel?

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
At the moment we are waiting May for the release of our Undead Abyss demo tape.
We already have something like 5/6 songs ready for a next release but for various "work problems" (we haven't much time now to go to the rehear sal studio) we can't do a lot.
Probably this next Autumn / Winter we are going to record our first Ep...

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can hear our stuff on Youtube and Bandcamp right now (Check the new song called The Edge Of Infinity!!).
All our old releases are sold out but you can pre order at unholydomain@hotmail.it our next demo!!
