Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
We build this band at 1997, when we had the first tryout with the guitar player Sanyi. One year later we found the bass guitar player Tomi. The three of us is a main team. After this the tipical rotation came. It is easier to tell who not played in our band the who did. During the record of our second disc, Sándor became our final singer. He known from the brutal death band, Gutted.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our teenage time favourites are: Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Suffocation Cryptopsy, from black line: the Emperor. We grow up in these music, feelings and we take these on. Of course we put into some mixes, because the music of the Symbolz are more complitaced, hard to follow, the structures of the songs are quiet difficult and the riffs are not calculable. There are 32 riffs in one of our very new song, you can watch it here:

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
I think we play old school death metal, but you won’t have the usual phrases so far. No computability! The other way I mean old school is because nowadays, we can read in critics that everything is a death metal. After this you listen it and hear some skippy, modern, half-singing pussy-rock. If this is death metal than we are definatelly an old school band.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Our first release is ‘Fall of Enigma’, which was quiet trashy and symbolize our technical volume in that time. We released it in our own edition. In 2012, the Metal Scrap Records published our ‘Stupefying Beliefs’ album, which shows the way we imagined. We showed with a track in the Publisher’s 20th Jubilee publication. This is not much during our 18 years. The changes of the members had set us back. Usually we got good and bad critics too. Here, in our country, people like more our music, its multiplicity, its technic, its art, they like the longness. It isn’t understandable oversears. What interest us – as I told before – is we like it, so it stays like this.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Of course we play live, the band is perfectly able to concert. Mostly we play in our country, but we played nearby too. We have our own club festival, called SzegeDEATH FEST. You can check it on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SzegeDEATHfest.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
The Symbolz is a progressive band, the main tone is the unique access, the music. Only a few band plays death metal in the same way. This is not totally unique, but not world-wide played that the guitar riffs moves as a classical quitar theme, they only distortioned as hell!!

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We almost finished the writing of the new theme. Studio soon, videoclip soon. The 2nd SzegeDEATH FEST is coming in next Spring, which needs a lot organization. We are building now our new rehearsal room, so we are not bored.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
We don’t have any shows in the near future because we are focusing on the new album. We will finish the writing in this year, so after this we’ll play somewhere to practice the new trucks before the edition. You can buy our disc from the publisher http://www.metalscraprecords.com, or you can order directly from us: https://www.facebook.com/symphonyofsymbols. Do not hesitate to write us if you need our merch staffs (such as T-shirts, sweaters).
