Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
It all started with Luke and me (Timo), as a project a few years ago. We were jamming and writing some ideas. Then, in November 2018, we met Phil and Max, who completed the lineup and brought their own influences into the band. We jammed a while, and it all came together. We got started as „Tezura“ in January of this year (2019). That was when we began writing songs for our first demo, which we recorded shortly after, in May. Everything was completely DIY. We released the demo – named „Voices“ – in July. Since then we’re rehearsing for playing our first live shows. We’re also currently working on new songs.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We combine very different influences in our music that we create. Many bands play a role, but if you’d break it all down to the biggest five that are equally inspiring for all of us, it would be Iron Maiden, Metallica, Testament, Trivium and Machine Head.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Since we draw inspiration from a wide range of influences, our music might be interesting for fans of many genres – Tezura is melodic, fast, heavy, in-your-face. We wanted to move away from the beaten path and include many musical styles to create our own sound.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We released our first demo „Voices“ in July this year and it was received very well by the public so far. People like about our sound that we combine European and American musical qualities, and they like our guitar riffs, which they described as „complex“ and „precise“. Many people are amazed by the fact that this demo sounds „remarkably mature“, although we are still a young band.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We work hard and rehearse to play live a lot in the near future.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Every single one of us brings something interesting, his own influences and style, into Tezura. And that’s what you hear in our music. So, just have a listen to it and hear for yourself. We’re working on new material as hard as we did on the demo – so things remain exciting around us.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Working on new songs and recording new stuff, evolve as a band and play live A LOT, gathering a growing fan base around us.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can listen to Tezura everywhere: on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, Facebook and YouTube. And of course you can buy our stuff at our live shows.
