Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The Monolith Project is a one man death metal project by me, Matthias Pojar. I started this project in the end of 2012 just to be free to make music on my own style and to improve my skills on recording (which is still hobby level).

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Propably, I would say its old-school fashioned death-metal with some cool influences of some newer stuff. Hypocrisy and Peter Tägtgren are the important influences, I guess. But there are more bands like Illdisposed, Samael, Tiamat, Sepultura, Slayer, Morgoth, Death, old In Flames, My Dying Bride, Fear Factory, Deicide, Disbelief and so on.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
The coming The Monolith Project albums will differ in its entirety, but will always sound like me. It will always be death metal and it always will crush your neck. If you´re a die hard fan, perhaps it will not fit to you, because I want to evolve and so each album will contain unusual material and other guitar/drum sounds. But if you are open minded, buy my albums, you won´t be disappointed!
They are not high-end, but unique.
There will always a concept behind the albums. Also I will provide my recording settings as pdfs on the pysical version of the album.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Nine songs were written for the first album to come on june 2014. One of these songs is released via youtube and soundcloud. It is the same song that you hear right now, if your reading these funny lines of hell!
The Album will be released via bandcamp and stuff like that. Check out my facebook page www.facebook.com/themonolithproject to stay in touch with me.
You can get a nice ringtone on Bandcamp for free, which is part of a song called I,Nemesis. Get it!

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
As a one man band, live shows are possible but this would be very funny. If there are musicians that share my opinion and like my songs and the style...why not going on stage with them? and if there is a crowd to party with us ... :)

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
As I said before: I´m doing it my way. If they like good music they have to be interested! And if not.. I don´t care about them :)

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Improve my skills on songwriting, mixing and hopefully do some fucking good songs!

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
