Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The purpose of Trysth is to represent a shelter for the musical ideas of a few restless souls. Founded by Assen Santev and Georgi Yoshovski back in late 2005, initially Trysth evolved into a black metal project. The next year as well as 2007 was spent in playing live and recording demo songs, when at the beginning of 2008, the band came to a standstill. Assen and Georgi continued to play as the style slowly shifted towards slower and heavier tunes. At the end of 2011, Yavor Dimov joined the duo and this opened a new page for Trysth. Embracing the sludge/post-metal style as a new emotional expression, in the summer of 2013, the band entered Urban House studio to record its first full-length album entitled "Soulchambers".

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
In general our style can be described as post-metal which today is a very broad concept. In our music we have mostly sludge and doom with many atmospheric moments.
Our main influences include Neurosis, Isis, Cult of Luna, Shrinebuilder, Sleep, etc.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
To take a listen to interesting, powerful and heavy music coming straight from the heart.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We are looking ahead to releasing our debut album, entitled Soulchambers in early November 2014. We’ve released some songs from it and so far they have been received very well by everyone.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes, of course, we love to play live. It is a special experience and it’s very different from rehearsals and recordings. Our music is very introspective but plying live gives us the opportunity to make some kind of raw projection of our energy and feelings.
So far we’ve been very busy in 2014 and it was awesome! We had the chance to share stage with acts such as Nadja, Show Me a Dinosaur, etc. We played our very first gig outside of Bulgaria which was huge achievement for us. In the beginning of July we were part of the Serbian DYI Stonerizer fest. It was great to come out of our comfort zone and meet new similarly minded people as well as play some heavy ass music at the foot of the majestic Rtanj Mountain.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We play powerful and emotional post-metal/sludge and we’re always ready to kick some ass live!

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are planning a release promo gig of our debut album in November. After that we’ll concentrate on creating new songs as we are not planning other lives until the end of this year.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
