Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Wall Of The Eyeless was formed in November of 2011 at Helsjön, Sweden by SL, 21, who originally comes from Pskov, Russia. SL was trying hard to form a band in his hometown with no success, but never lost hope and kept on writing songs, and, when he came to Sweden, he found a drummer - Simon, 18, and the things just clicked. After the month long and focused rehearsals, the "Through Emptiness" demo was recorded in folkhogskola’s studio by the guys themselves, which includes 4 songs out of a lot of material the band has to offer. SL, being a guitarist in the first place, ended up doing the vocals and the bass as well.
The band tries to combine music, lyrics and artwork to create one single picture.
The Band: SL (electric & acoustic guitars, vocals, bass), Simon (drums)

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Death metal with various influences and with the use of acoustic guitars and guitar solos. We're influenced by all the music we listen to and by all the bands which are inspiring for us.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
To support the underground scene and young bands, just as we do ourselves.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far we've only self-released the demo called "Through Emptiness" on the Dec 31st, 2011. The demo was received very good by both listeners and press (according to the letters we get from the listeners and scores in press, which were not lower than 4 our of 5 so far).

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
No, not yet. As soon as it will be possible, we'll finalize the lineup for SL to fully concentrate on guitar and to be able to play live. Hopefully a lot. We've already been invited to tour by a couple of bands.

What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Labels/zines/promoters should know, that there are guys behind the band have the honest and strong passion for music  and that all the material SL composes and writes comes from the heart. And, hopefully, the band has a bit of our own vision and style instead of playing the ordinary death metal - as Brutalism Zine had written, WotE "show plenty of potential to be more than just "another generic Death metal band".
Wall Of The Eyeless is glad to support other bands, too, of course. We don't try to be commercial, we just want as many people as possible to hear our music. And we appreciate each and every feedback and letter of support from all of you.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We're currently promoting the demo ourselves and searching for a label.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can stream the entire demo on our Facebook, Bandcamp and MySpace pages - whatever is more comfortable for you. Here are the links:
The lyrics can be found on the Bandcamp page.
And if you like our music and happen to want to have it on original CD with a 8-page booklet, we've just set up a store at Bigcartel here: http://walloftheeyeless.bigcartel.com
Or you can contact the band on the abovementioned pages anytime, of course.
