Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Warscythe began its reformation of the Death Metal sub-genre in the fall of 2006. Based on the core foundation of brothers Justin and Tim Sakogawa, Warscythe began composing original material and adding additional talent to fill out what would become their trademark sound of heavy rhythms, technical musicianship, strong songwriting and melodic instrumental elements.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
In general we are a death metal band. We have a melodic and progressive sound where one solo per song is not enough. The bands we are influenced by would be Death, Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Nevermore and Vader.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
If you like fast, heavy, and catchy riffs accompanied by blistering fast drumming and blazing solos then you should definitely check warscythe out.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We recently released our second EP which is available on cdbaby, itunes and other online distro. Our first Ep can be found on relapse.com. Overall everyone digs our music, haven't heard a bad thing about it yet.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We've been playing all over the bay area for the past couple years. Bars, clubs, underground venues, backyards, and everything in between.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Labels should know that we are a hard working band and we get the job done. Our sound is unique combining melodic and brutal riffs.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Soon we're going to push out of the area with a possible west coast tour in the near future and try to spread our music to new areas. We just sent out our latest EP's to some labels so we'll see what they have to say.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
We are on myspace, youtube, and facebook. you can get our music on itunes, cdbaby, relapse.com and our online store at www.warscythe.bigcartel.com
