Blasphamagoatachrist is a black/death metal band on Nuclear War and here is a short chat I did with band member Sabbaoth.

Where is the band based out of?
The band is based in two different countries. Brazil and Canada.

How did you come to like metal music in general and then how did you discover the underground? What were some of the first bands you got into and are you a fan of them still today?
I found out from an early age. I gifted a Black Sabbath tape as a gift and found out it was the musical style that I identified with. I still hear the same bands since that time like Iron Maiden, Slayer, Venom, Hellhammer, Bathory and many others.

All of the members have been in previous bands, but how did the coming of Blasphamagoatachrist come together?
I (Sabbaoth) Black Winds have been friends for many decades. As we were together here twice in Brazil, regarding shows, during a friendly conversation we decided to make a common band and we invited two close partners to make things easier and so we formed B.G.C.

How long was the band together before you started to put together songs?
Practically a few months. I could say 2 or 3 months until we compose the songs and start putting them into practice.

How did you come up with the name and logo Blasphamagoatachrist?
The name of the band was suggested by Black Winds. He thought it was fair to unite the initials of the three bands: Blasphemy - Goatpenis - Antichrist. This amalgamation became one band. The logo and the arts were made by me.

How long did it take to put together the tunes for your demo “Black Metal Warfare”, which came out in 2018? How was the response to it overall?
It took us about 4 months to prepare and record them. As we live far away each one has his responsibilities and does his part to make sure everything works out in the end. And so we managed to get everything in order in the best possible way.

How did the coming of the songs of your fantastic full length debut release called “Bastardizing the Purity”? How did you come up with that title?
We wanted something very dirty and aggressive. Our intention is not to make polished music or to please critics and fragile audiences. Our lyrics are filthy, without effeminate poetry and happy melodies. The title could not escape this trend. We want the orgy of human filth against everything and everyone.

Did you pay for this recording or did the label? How did the studio sessions go? Was everything pretty much smooth so to speak?
All costs were covered by NWN! Records. We cannot complain because the record company is always helpful, quick and safe to negotiate with. Yosuke is a great guy and responsible guy.

Have you had a chance to play live before all this covid crap hit?
Almost. With a few weeks to go before our first live show, there was a general cancellation of any event and we were forced to cancel. But there will be more opportunities for us to play live across the planet.

How would you describe the band’s sound to someone who has not heard the band?
War Black Metal raw and violent.

I see you guys wear corpse paint at least in your promo photos. Is that something you would wear on a live performance?
For sure. We value an aggressive look. The audience deserves it for a horror show and we will give them that.

What are your thoughts on people who just want to download stuff for free and don’t want to buy a band’s LP’s or CD’s these days?
It is a pity because many years from now they will no longer have the physical material to collect and have with them to remember the good times of their lives. (i agree-cf)

Please plug any social media sites the band has if any.

Horns up for this short interview and good luck going forward with the band into 2021. Any last words to wrap this up?
Thank you on behalf of the other members of the B.G.C. for the opportunity to talk a little bit about the purpose of the band. I hope everyone shows up at our shows and we will resume the strength of live shows all together. Acquire our material as it is running out quickly. This acquisition helps the band to remain active and empowered to create new War Black Metal hymns for everyone!
