Lycanthropy is a black metal band formed in Orel (Russia) in 2007 by Gunner.  There were different lineups, but today Lycanthropy are Gunner and Furious plus session members.  

Style of the band has changed  - from black metal (early) up to strong influence from death metal (now). Blackdeath is is the most suitable genre for the band. But Lycanthropy can easily make a pure black metal record. As for influences - it is mainly Enthroned, Mayhem, Dissection, Lucifugum, Morbid Angel, Dark Funeral e.t.c.

We try to play unique material, in our own style. Lycanthropy is quite an honest band, we play what we feel.

We have released some demos during 2008-2009, then followed albums and Ep's. With "Instinct For Vengeance" album band have got the first real contract, signing with Russian Musica Production. Now band works mainly with the U.S.A. based Unmerciful Death Productions and German K.S. Versand. 

Band has stopped live activity. Since Furious had joined the band Lycanthropy became Russian/Ukrainian collaboration. So, it is very difficult to organize touring, because we live in diffirent countries, but I should say that we do have some plans for touring in future.

Mostly all underground labels have heard at least something about us. They should be interested in Lycanthropy because we are working very seriously on our product, trying to do our best. That's why we are intrested to co-operate with those labels which could do good promotion, release our new stuff in the right way, without delays and e.t.c.

Plans for future - new album and probably Ep in 2013. Time will show.
