Review:
Finally a band whose music matches its name, so when you think of a devourer you automatically think of something vicious, ferocious, merciless and that's about exactly how the band's music sounds. The Swedish duo returns with their third full-length opus two years after the second one was released, continuing their collaboration with Mexican powerhouse label IBDC. 8 tracks, 45 minutes of pure Black Metal (with serious Black Death influences) devastation, ranging from mid-tempo to mostly fast paced rhythms lead by a grotesque vocal, and offering serious technical skills to keep things varied and interesting throughout the whole material, but also a pillar in this new album is the excellent production that's dark enough to emphasize the malefic atmospheres of the music, but at the same time clear enough to allow the listener to delve into any of the instruments used. Also, beside the already mentioned variety, the band kept also using (more or less) subtle hooks on every track so that their individuality is even more emphasized this way. A really good album, from a really good duo, this band would slay live (and apparently they've started working on that)!
