Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Well, Brave was founded in 1998 in the city of Itu/Brazil.
Initially by guitarist Guilherme "Heman" and by the vocalist Marquinhos Jabur who are no longer present in the Line-up. Originally the band would be called Brave Heart, but due to its practical pronunciation, it was only Brave. The name was inspired by the film Braveheart by the producer and actor Mel Gibson, in 1995.
The band went through several formations until reaching the album Kill the bastard, which since then, until The Oracle, has been the most lasting formation.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Brutal Power Metal! Accept, Grave Digger and Manowar were the main influences. Although we currently have more references.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
We would say it is important to support metal. For the same reason of appreciation and knowledge of the work as a whole! Metalheads recognizes the need to have materials to evaluate and satisfy your musical artistic desire.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
The following titles:
Demo - Rehearsal 1998.
Demo - The warrior and the wicth 1998.
Single - Made for me 2001.
First album - The last battle 2012.
Second album - Kill the bastard 2016.
Third album - The oracle 2020.
They were received satisfactorily.
And with each album released, we are gradually getting more recognition.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
No doubt! The importance of playing live is as important as the quality that we seek to improve at each stage in a recording studio.
The stage and rehearsals are our sacred ritual!
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
You must know that we are a Brutal Power Metal band committed to producing materials for Metalheads! And that within the genre, we are printing our identity! Thus, we seek to innovate and integrate our musical aspects. We cannot fall into sameness!
We are already getting fruits of this continuity and persistence. We love what we do! Gain or loss as a consequence are risks. And the band is aware of that!
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We are at the moment booking shows for the promotion of our new album, The Oracle. In addition to wanting to play in other states, we also want to venture overseas in the future.
We plan to add diversified content to all our materials. And of course, always striving for a viable and progressive quality with regard to Metal Culture!
