Please tell us a few words about the new release, about the music on it as a whole or a few words on each track in part. How are you happy with the final release?
Well, in general, this work is basically a black metal record with some influences from other styles. You will find some death metal, some doom and even progressive music. It is a record with fast songs, but also with some very slow and introspective passages. It is a very melodic work, with many variations, and you can clearly differentiate one song from the other. Thus, I believe it is a record with a lot of identity. I am very happy with the final result of the album, as it was well planned, and we knew exactly how it would sound. There were no surprises.

How would you describe/label the music on it? Does it sounds like anything we might have heard before?
I believe that we are simply black metal. But it's okay to be labeled. This is normal in heavy metal. That way people can get a closer picture of what a band's music represents. Regarding the originality of our music, I believe that this type of sound is not heard much out there. Obviously, I believe that there is not much more to be done in terms of creating new styles in music. In this way, we focus on creating striking melodies.

Where was it recorded and how much time did it take you to record it? Any interesting stories from the recording/producing the material?
We recorded the album at From Hellcords Studio in Porto Alegre, RS/Brazil. Who was in charge of the recording was Henrique Fioravanti, who, in our opinion, did a very good job. The album was recorded between August and September 2019. Well, it was a very well planned job, so in technical terms everything went very well. As for the recording stories, what happened was that of the five songs on the disc, four are mine. Now, as I made the songs myself, it was obvious that I knew how to play them very well. It happened that the day I went to record the bass, in certain parts, Henrique stopped everything and said I was playing or wrong, or different. And I got the look of someone who didn't understand anything. After we had been stubborn for a while with each other, Rex Inferii remembered to let me know that he had changed some parts of my songs and he didn't let me know. I could kill him kkkkkkkkkkkkk.

What can you tell us about the cover artwork? Is there a link between the artwork and the lyrics? What are the topics of your lyrics?
The cover art was made by Doomed Art from São Paulo/Brazil. I wanted something very old school, simple and efficient. A cover that immediately represented what we had to say. So, I really liked the final result of the art, because it has that 80's aura. We also opted for the black/white aesthetic. None of those colors, that color. I don't like this aesthetic. In this way, I do believe that there is a relationship between the cover and the lyrics of the album. The lyrics basically speak of obscurantism, occultism, frustration and hatred. There is a lot of what I call black philosophy. That is simply not trying to understand yourself, but rather assuming what we really are.

What do you expect to gain through this release? What are the band's aims at the moment?
I expect everything from this project, but not money. Requiem’s Sathana is a project that represents a lifestyle. So we’re more focused on getting the message across. If a thousand people are affected by the message, great. If only 10 are reached by the message, great too. The objective at the moment is to promote the album as much as possible. We are also already planning a future video clip.

Is there a special format the material is released in? Or is it released in multiple formats? How many copies were pressed?
No! The disc was released on CD only. In Brazil things are a little complicated when it comes to underground band. Since I'm the one who pays all the costs of the project, sometimes things need to go a little slower. We had great support from Cianeto Discos, in the person of Gil Dessoy, who provided us with the pressing of 300 copies.

Where and how will you promote this new release?
The album was released at the beginning of May/2020. Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, everything had to be done on social networks. Therefore, the material can be checked on Bandcamp, Youtube, Spotify, Deezer and Music Apple.

Where can we order it from?
Anyone interested in purchasing the physical CD can contact Cianeto Discos (https://cianetodiscos.com.br/).
