Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Incest in Heaven was originally formed in 2009 by Abraxas(Guitars) and Xaphan(Drums) as an extreme metal project. Soon Nick Os( Bass) and Growler(Vocalist of Erevos) joined in. The band started to write their first material but before they recorded anything Xaphan left on friendly terms and was replaced by Simeth(Rotting Flesh). At the end of 2010 we recorded our first demo, "Misbegotten”, which was released the next year. Christopher Dean also joined the band after recording two solos for the demo. After a few, but brutal live shows, we are currently focusing on promoting our work via gigs while simultaneously writing new songs for our upcoming full-length album.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Our music is a mixture of what we believe are the best elements in extreme metal music, be it death, black, etc. All those elements are reformed through our personal composing taste so that the final song is filled with everything we have to offer to our audience as musicians. Our main goal is to compose songs with strength, musical variety and honesty. The prime bands that have influenced our style are Mayhem, Death, Atheist, Immolation, Emperor, Cynic and Akercocke.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we hope that he will find honesty to our work. We try as hard as we can to be true to ourselves and that our work pleases us completely. We do not adjust our music so that we can get fans. Besides that, the musical variety that characterizes our songs has made our work appealing to numerous people with completely different tastes in music. So we believe that any metalhead that is searching for a band that’s both aggressive and melodic should give our material a try.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Since we count few years as band we have only released a demo, named "Misbegotten”. We are currently composing new songs for our upcoming album, that will hopefully be released during the summer of 2012. So far we had numerous presentations of the release of our demo and a handful of reviews from zines and magazines that encouraged us to continue our good work and to hasten the procedures for our full album.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes we‘ve had our share of gigs, all of them in Greece. We have played with numerous bands such as Negura Bunget (Romania), Infested Blood ( Brazil), Daemonicus(Sweden) Head Cleaner (Greece), Nethescerial (Greece), Custom Made Noise (Greece) and Drevna (Bulgaria). We are preparing this year for a tour in Greece to promote our demo and we are trying to book some gigs in Europe too.

What sould labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
We are interested in a label and a booking agency. As I mentioned above our full length album will be ready during summer and we are ready to start having gigs.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Record our album and have a large tour to promote it. I think that is more than enough for a year!
