Review:
Debut EP from this Italian trio founded back in 2015, Devil's Fist features 4 tracks plus intro into a total of 21 minutes of fast paced old-school Extreme Metal. On a backbone of old-school Thrash Metal a la '80's Teutonic school, Deathfucker add the dirtiest elements from Death, Black, Punk and Rock'n'Roll to result into a simplistic but catchy and definitely infectious mutant. The production is stuffed and murky, but clear enough to permit full access to all instruments. The rhythms are mostly fast paced, Speed-like I'd say, with a big plus for the organic sounding frantic drums, and the harmonies, although based on that old-school dirty pattern so many other bands are using nowadays, make use of some really catchy Thrash Metal riffs that were used in the '80's by German bands that are now legends. The vocal parts are hoarse screams supported by growls here and there. Bottom line you've heard such a release before, that's certain, but what Devil's Fist brings forth is a crystal clear production that at the same time is dark and cavernous, I pretty much liked that.
