Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
The band Menneskeeter was formed in 2007 by the vocalist Totgeburt who was searching for musicians who want to play Death Metal and Black Metal. It took a long time while Craig and Totgeburt wrote songs to find a drummer who was good enough. In fact there where very often member changes until Arcanstros was found as the right drummer for Menneskeeter. The next problem was to find a bassist for Menneskeeter, but it didn’t take that long until Totgeburt had learned to play bass and sing at the same time.
After three hard years Menneskeeter was complete and ready to play first concerts in 2010.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We were influenced by many bands like Cannibal Corpse, Necrophagist, Tsjuder, Behexen, Marduk, Slayer, Nile, Behemoth, Belphegor, Cryptopsy and so many other bands.
Our music style is a mixture of death and black metal which you notice if you listen to our music, because some times there are high pitched vocals and black metal riffs, but seconds later there are deep growls or pig squeals as they are in extreme gore bands or death metal bands. In our songs are many blasts and fast double bass parts and the guitar riffs are containing a mixture of technical death metal, black metal and thrash metal.
Menneskeeter can’t be classified in any music genre, because they have elements of many metal genres.
According to "Spirit of Metal” we play a style, named "Brutal Death Black” like Goatwhore and many other bands, but we can’t agree with that statement, Menneskeeter has its own individual style and views.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
If a metal head wants to buy our album in near future it would be nice, but we think it’s not the only thing which matters, because if a metal head buys our album it’s more the feeling that someone likes what we love and that’s more important than the money.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We released at that time some demo tapes and people liked that sound, but we want to release a album in future with studio quality, because it has to be perfect otherwise we will not release a album.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes we play live as well and there will be many more concerts in autumn and next year we’ll rock some festivals in Austria and if it is possible we’ll play a bit in other countries and I hope it will be a great success and that the metal heads will fuckin’ bang their heads and mosh.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Labels, zines, and promoters should know that Menneskeeter is a band which tries to make a new kind of metal which combines aggressive and technical parts of music with several vocals, many breaks and fast blast beats. We want to create something new, something what goes deep, something what makes your blood boiling.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
For future we plan to record an album with our best songs on it, because in the last three years the number of songs increased rapidly and there are so many that it will be hard to find out which songs will form the album in the end, so you can be surprised what will be on our album but I promise that at least one song for every metal head will be on it, because we will try to put of every metal kind one song on it.
We also plan to get on tour in Germany and to share our blasphemy on many concerts all around if we can.

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
If anyone wants now to listen to some songs of us check out our myspace page www.myspace.com/menneskeeter and if you want to buy some shirts of us visit www.mthree.at we are happy about every metalhead who likes our music and wants to support our band by buying a shirt or if he tells others about us.
A homepage is planned in near future!
