Review:
Well ok, I was kind of avoiding this CD because of the band name to tell you the truth; I thought they are another of those joke bedroom bands, although the Hammer of Damnation release made me think again. And indeed I was wrong, TFHatA, although their childish (not to say meaner words) band name, are actually quite competent when it comes to music. Their take on Metal is a fast paced, bestial, visceral blend between Thrash and Black Metal, extremely aggressive and dangerous, but what's more impressive is their ability to sound so damn tight and deliver a full and fat sound throughout the whole album yet being a trio, and that means all of them give their heart and soul (and sweat I might add) for their music. Although at first I thought I was about to listen to straight-forward, all speed and devastation music, that was true but on top of that the band adds plenty of diversity and imagination making each track stand out by itself. If you're into this type of music TFHatA will make your day, just the kind of music fans of the dirtiest, drunkest, most chaotic side of Metal are expecting. I'm impressed by their music, just think a different band name would have done them better justice.
