Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Band Kadar was formed in 2009 in the Almaty city, Republic of Kazakhstan. Original line-up - Zufar Sidikov (guitar, keyboards) and Ruslan Isayev (bass, vocals).
Zufar Sidikov - a talented guitarist, composer of KADAR band. Album “Infidel” is an example of his diligent and hard work. Unusual musical passages, a combination of jazz and rock/metal music - exclusively his achievement.
Ruslan Isayev - the author of the lyrics. In many ways, work on searching and establishing ties with music label lay on his shoulders.
During its existence the band has given many concerts and recorded its debut album “Infidel”, released by Ukrainian label Metal Scrap Records. Over 5 years of existence the band changed 10 drummers. At the moment the band remains unchanged - Zufar Sidikov (guitar, keyboards), Ruslan Isayev (bass, vocals). In such line-up the band recorded their second album.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
How to describe the band's style? It is quite difficult. It combines everything. Hard'n'Heavy, Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Heavy Metal, Country, Blues Rock, Southern Metal, Jazz Fusion, Funk and more.
About the musical inspiration we can talk for a long time. From all of the most influenced artists can be called Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Pantera and many others. Preferences of the musicians are very different. If bassist Ruslan likes Heavy Metal and Jazz, then guitarist Zufar often prefers Reggae Music and Hip-Hop.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Metalheads can found in our songs something that stirred their blood for decades, since the days of Jimi Hendrix Experience and Black Sabbath. There are heavy and technical guitar solos and riffs in our music. Here’re a lot of unusual musical steps. The album would not leave anyone indifferent.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Album “Infidel” - this is the first serious work, serious recording, which was released by Metal Scrap Records. The public's attitude to our music is very positive. What can be seen at concerts where fans unleash their emotions and having fun. As for the media, the situation is different. The music industry in Kazakhstan is pretty high quality, but one-sided. In general, from the music like ours the media are excluded and do not want to have business with it. Although the Classic Hard Rock is in demand. We hope that over time the situation will change for the better.
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yes, we play our songs live. In 2014 we gave a few concerts. It was spring. Summer in Almaty is not the best time for live shows. Due to the fact that we are all busy working people, so concert activity humble. In the future we plan to visit the Wacken Open Air as participants, to what we make every effort.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Music magazines, promoters, labels show and in the future will show our activities because we can and we create new music that is different from the one that now actively represented on the music scene.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Plans for the future. Our first goal – is to participate in the Wacken Open Air festival and finish the work on the second album. Now we successfully record our new songs.
