Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Calcined was born in 2008 with passionate guys of the death metal scene Lionel (drums) and me. During the research of a rehearsal local, we have meet Lulu (guitar) and begin to write some songs. After a few years, we found Magnus on voices and we have record a Album-Ep “Thwarted” in 2011 and a split-album with the polish band “Regicide Decease” on 2012 on “Metal Scrap Records” label. After the release of our last stuff, Lulu left the band and we have to find a new powerful axeman on guitar with Jéjé. Then, since 2012 we have a really stable line-up and we were ready to write at record an album. This one is now finish and the release is for January 2015.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music? 
All members of Calcined have their influence, but the principal influence is the old school death metal as Suffocation, Bolt Thrower, Brutality… We really like the US and European scene.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we are authentic! We really like what we do and we have faith on our music and the death metal. We write and record our song with passion and we mainly prefer the “old school rules” for the studio. Now, all new brutal band record all songs in studio with a drum machine and edit a lot every parts. We don’t do that!

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media? 
Our last released was appreciated by the media but with our new album, we had do more work and do more preparation and more arrangement on our news songs. I hope our new album will be received as well by media.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Yeah of course! We really like to play in live. But in Switzerland, there are a lot of bands of metal and a little bit club/stage. Then, if you aren’t a Deathcore band with a lot a shitty effect, you don’t have chance for play. But, with a lot of work we have organize some events and then we have play with some great band as “Internal Suffering”, “Inveracity”, “Putridity”…. Our best gigs we have played were outside of the Switzerland. We have play a gig in France and a incredible tour in Ukraine organize by “Metal Scrap record” in march 2013.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
I don’t know, but on recent reviews we often read we are an old school death metal band young but promising. I hope it’s the true !

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Yeah really, we release our new album on January 2015 and then we are looking for some show since the beginning of 2015 with maybe an European tour.
