Review:
Damn this band is killer, how come I hear about them only now since they are around since 2005 and have released 3 other albums prior to this one? Maybe the fact they are an independent band and never been signed is one of the reasons, maybe they concentrated more on playing live and making tehir music known only within Germany, which is not an uncommon choice for German band given the fact they have such a rich and vibrant scene and attendance inhouse, no need to reach out to other countries. Anyway, this new material of theirs is a 10 tracks effort clocking almost 40 minutes of playing time, a fantastic blend between modern and massive sounding Death Metal with the groovier side of Death Metal, Death'n'Roll, creating an infectious, headbanging-friendly, brutal, memorable mid-tempo to fast paced music fans of Six Feet Under, Debauchery, Entombed, or Bolt Thrower will certainly find interesting. I'm also a fan of these bands, and I tell you New World Depression, despite their weird band name, is one hell of a killer band, and their most recent album is fantastic!
