GORECURE

Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Gorecure, deriving from a small village in Norway started up late 2008 by a group of musicians with the intention of participating in a talent competition. After being sent to the second of three rounds we decided to keep the project running as it seemed the audience really enjoyed the hybrid of brutal sound and beautiful melodies.
Two years and many concerts later the band consisting of Emil Moen (Guitar), Truls Austdal (Vocals), Lars ANTI-christian Holm (Bass), Magnus Engemoen (Guitar) and Morten Storlien (Drums) are still going strong! With a growing fanbase and great ambitions we keep developing our music to greater heights and darker depths.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Being put together by musicians with great gaps of opinions we have created a unique sound by mixing different genres into a blend which are sure to satisfy all metalheads regardless of style.
The influences range from old Norwegian black metal through brutal thrash, death and beyond.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because we represent a new generation of sound, style and atmosphere.
Are you a fan of any type of metal? If yes, buy our demos, if no - fuck off and die.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We are included on the compilation album kill city 19, distributed and released by 272 records. The album became the top sold by the record company.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We've played quite a lot locally, and have over time built our reputation to one of the most popular bands in the district. We have also gotten responses further and further away from where we reside.
We have gone from being a small "extra-band" to being put on the top of the posters by many festivals and musical events.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
As earlier mentioned we have rapidly built our fanbase because we have a unique musical style which visit most of the metal genres throughout our songs.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Playing as many concerts as possible and make a shitload of great songs

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
