Review:
Quite a soft album in compare to what we usually feature here, Sideburn's new album consists of 8 tracks in an AC/DC meets ZZ Top manner that's perfect for moto shows and beers with the friends. The album starts with a couple of strong tracks, but I feel that 13 tracks in 50 minutes proved to be a bit too much for this album as after a few tracks it becomes more Rock'n'Roll inclined than Hard Rock and it seems like the band doesn't want to escape the similarity with the two aforementioned monsters of Rock, it's like they are ok with not delivering original stuff and that becomes tiresome after a few tracks. Don't get me wrong, it's clear they know their craft, the compositions are classy, catchy and there's plenty to enjoy, it's just that after 8 albums you'd feel like they could deliver something worth pinpointing as their own. If you like AC/DC and ZZ Top and looking for something similar Sideburn might just be your thing.
