Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
A Transylvanian Funeral released the S/T debut on the Spring Equinox of 2009. Sojourner and myself wrote and recorded the album in a few short months; 13 tracks total. I, Sleepwalker, performed all the music and recording and Sojourner contributed backing vocals and wrote lyrics to about 4 songs. Now, I am the sole member and have shared releases with Black Torment and Funeral Winterdust. The 2nd full length, 'the Outsider', was just released on my own label, Forbidden Records.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Introspective black metal would be how I would describe 'the Outsider'. The debut was raw and punishing where the new release is more produced and elaborate. I intend on making each new album different from the last and never repeating myself in a musical endevour. I was influenced a lot by Mayhem, Morbid Angel, Limbonic Art...it is a long list...I am digging a lot of bestial chaos right now, Deiphago, Thornspawn...

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
I try to make each release different and of a high quality. I have a strong background in audio engineering so the production aspect can easily be manipulated to fit my vision. I also am the editor of Forbidden Magazine and run Forbidden Records...supporting the Underground is a way of life!!!

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
So far the above mentioned releases have been well received by the press. I hope to increase production soon and the releases from Forbidden Records are going to fucking kill, so beware!!!

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
A Transylvanian Funeral does NOT play live. I would like to get a few people to work with for recording purposes or to record a live DVD / album but having a regular full time band is not really a priority of mine any more...

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Labels may be interested to release my material but I am always skeptical... I am always happy to provide interviews and digital promos for review purposes to zines and promoters are welcome to offer what they may. I have assumed all these responsibilities myself but some honest support is always welcome!!! The music speaks for itself; if a label or zine is interested, then I need not explain why.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
I look forward to start writing again. The sound will change and probably lean toward a more intense and raw sound. I may try to get a drummer involved but it all depends on who is available. I am working on a few releases for the label and Issue Two of Forbidden Magazine, so, needless to say, it may be a few months before I set to work on A Transylvanian Funeral again...

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
'the Outsider' is streaming HERE @ www.forbidden-magazine.com. You can also visit www.forbidden-records.com to get you hands on some great material from all over the world. Thanks for the support!!!
