Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
We formed less than a year ago, to start from the beginning: I was drinking at a metal pub in my local town of Maidstone. The Beherit shirt I was wearing prompted conversation very quickly when Alex noticed it, and we've been good mates since. Then after a long time later, years in fact we met again and decided to form a band with our strong agreement in musical tastes. At the same place  a little later, I met Gaius while drinking at a mutual friends birthday, to then we got totally hammered. I met Lee at a local gig that Alex was playing with his band Infected Dead. Alex heard that Lee was a decent and freed-up drummer and introduced us that night.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
The primary influence is old-school death metal, me & Alex listen to a lot of 80's metal ranging from Yngwie Malmsteen to Razor, Infernal Majesty, Sacrifice etc. Bands in particular that we take a lot of influence from are Bolt Thrower, Autopsy, Grave, Dismember, Morbid Angel, Carcass, early Entombed/Obituary/Death. Influences always have a bearing on our development as players, especially as we greatly enjoy shredders such as Malmsteen, Tony MacAlpine, Steve Vai, Jason Becker etc. Lee is ever aiming to reach the same ability level as George Kollias and Gaius listens to a lot of technical metal too.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
For anyone that really enjoys the Old-School Death Metal style and is looking for a modern take/overtone to it, this is what we're trying to achieve from a modern perspective. Essentially paying homage to the forefathers of this style with an updated formula. For anyone who enjoys the Scandinavian and British bands from the late 80's to 90's, we're taking the best of both worlds so to speak and generating a revived sound.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
We've only released an EP so far entitled 'Ritual Exhumation', which has been surprisingly well-received so far! There's been a terrific amount of reviews written for the release so far, all of them have been very encouraging and appraising which was completely unexpected. To see well-known publishers giving reviews at this stage in the game, such as No Clean Singing, Metal Forces Magazine, Ghostcult Magazine amongst the many to show interest has impacted the momentum very positively. We've also had a lot of emails /messages and feedback from various fans all over the globe already, giving the music very positive praise and showing massive support.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
We do, yes. We've played a total of 5 shows in our local area this year, two of those shows have been headlining ones too. Playing live is always at the forefront of our minds and is a key component to our ambition. Since we've only been hitting the live circuit since March, we're currently awaiting to play alongside Onslaught at a UK festival in August. We also have one London show with Gravecrusher from Hungary confirmed in October, we are always looking to the future, keeping eyes open for potential tours and to play decent line-ups to develop our presence.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Our sound and songs combine powerful drum battery, old-school riffing, lightning fast lead guitar work and cavernous vocals, but are also combined with memorable touches. After relentless rehearsal, we yearn and hunger to spread our furious live performance to every shadowy corner of the globe, and are already slaying audiences with our morbid assault. For fans of Carcass, Unleashed, Grave, Dismember, Carnage and Sodom.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We plan to continue playing live and to tour. We're also concentrating on writing new material for a full-length in the future too. We currently have deals going on with a label to release the EP on CD, but nothing to announce officially yet I'm afraid!

Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
The debut 'Ritual Exhumation' can be heard and downloaded in it's entirety on Bandcamp. It's £3 per download and we are planning to release the EP on CD as soon as possible. We do have a limited amount of T-shirts available by contacting us directly via email and our facebook page at present. We always announce updates for merch as immediately.
