Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Puttorso started in 2004 as a three member Grindcore band. We recorded a couple of songs and quickly went on hold. In 2013 the project started again as a one man band and in June 2014 the album "Analmente" (Spanish for "Anally") was released.
The music, lyrics, production, logo design, cover art and website are completely done by the only member in the band, Gaizka. DIY!
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
That's easy: Grindcore. Simple and fast guitar riffs, lots of blastbeats and lousy movie intros (unfortunately, all of them are in Spanish).
The music of Puttorso is highly influenced by the Spanish underground Extreme Metal scene, with bands such as Looking for an Answer, Nashgul or Disturbance Project, and, of course, lots of international Grind acts such as Inhume, Regurgitate or Brutal Truth.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Puttorso is different. It's the truest, most individualistic, and most solid work of DIY Grindcore of the last years.
And, hey, it's 3 euros (4 dollars, aprox.) for a 47 minute album!
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Just "Analmente". It went out less than a week ago and it hasn't been covered by any media.
People seem to love it, though (which is not very suprising given that most of them are close friends and family).
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
No, as stated before, it is a one man band and it is absolutely impossible for me to play live. No plans on changing this.
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
The album is the result of a young Spanish metalhead working almost non-stop in his room for a year. There lyrics are hilarious (if you speak Spanish) and, to be frank, quite atypical. Again, Puttorso is different.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Promoting the new album as much as possible. I need some time to start writing songs again. Hopefully, now that I have "mastered" the recording and producing software, the next one won't take 10 years to come out.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
You can stream the album and/or buy it on puttorso.bandcamp.com or in the official site www.puttorso.tk. It will be available on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon music, etc. soon.
