Review:
Oh man, this is such a hard to review record for me not usually covering such styles inhere, and at the same time not being initiated in this type of music, so take this as the words from a highly profane and casual listener, and as usual try the music yourselves.
The Blue EP has a black'n'red cover art; makes sense, isn't it? 3 new tracks, 1 bonus track and two remixes make this EP last for 35 minutes, so it's like a new album actually. The band is as far away from the Black Metal influences they started with ten years ago as possible, the new orientation is towards an Avatngarde, Prog-Rock with Coldwave being also a major pillar in their music. The warm, sexy, jazzy female vocals are again highly impressive and influential upon the overall atmosphere, and the instrumental part although not offering a lot of memorable moments manage to transport the listener into a dreamy, hypnotic soundscape. I'm sure Prog Rock fans will find plenty to chew here, but for us Extreme Metallers this is a bit far away from our regular diet. Try it out if you're looking for something different.
